Istanbul Gelisim University Political and Social Research and Application Center (IGUSAM) was established to carry out political and social research in our school, together with the Department of Political Science and International Relations, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, International Trade and the Center for Economic Policy Application and Research. carries out activities.
Working actively in the 2017-2018 academic year, IGUSAM brought together valuable professors and students in the same year and signed one of the largest academic symposiums in the history of Istanbul Gelişim University. As the first conference of the academic year apart from the symposium, we were proud to host our valuable teacher Prof. Dr. Vahdettin Engin. Following this, many valuable teachers such as Prof. Dr. Faruk Şen and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hacısalihoğlu gave conferences and shared their views on important issues with our students and us.
In addition to these, a semi-official organization under the name of Istanbul Gelişim University Political Research Community was established so that the students within the research center could organize easily, and the interest of these students in the academy was increased by including about fifty students in the activities of the research center.
Principles
The basic principles of IGUSAM are:
1-Student orientation: IGUSAM aims to be student-oriented and respond to the needs of students in its studies.
2-National stance: IGUSAM puts the national interests of our country at the forefront, since most of its work is directly related to politics and international relations.
3-Trust: İGUSAM is built on the basis of trust and aims to pass this trust environment to both academicians and students.
4-Efficiency: It is essential that IGUSAM use resources effectively, economically and efficiently.
