President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met in Istanbul on November 4, 2022.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met in Istanbul on the Friday, 4th November. First of all, Erdogan and Stoltenberg addressed Russia’s war in Ukraine and the negotiations about grain corridor in the meeting. They also discussed about the inviting Finland and Sweden to the Alliance and finalizing the membership process.
Before meeting President, Stoltenberg met the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and they discussed about Türkiye’s contributions for NATO security, the developments in the Aegean region, common ground for fighting terrorism, the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and NATO’s support for Ukraine.
