A seminar titled "Migration Diplomacy" was held.

The event titled “Migration Diplomacy,” organized by the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Gelişim University and IGUSAM, addressed the use of migration as a diplomatic tool by states.

The event’s speaker was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Damla Bayraktar Aksel, who works at the Istanbul Policy Center and specializes in topics such as international migration, transnationalism, diaspora, and migration governance. The event was moderated by Dr. Elif Sahin, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations (English), who is also an expert on migration and has conducted research in this field.

The seminar provided an academic assessment of the issue of migration, particularly its growing importance today in areas such as foreign policy, security, and the economy.
