Dr. Joerg Baudner, a visiting faculty member from the University of Vechta under the Erasmus program, came to the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Gelişim University’s Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. On September 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM, he delivered a seminar titled “The Rise of the Populist Right-Wing AfD in Germany: How Dangerous is It?” at the K Block Firnas Auditorium.

The International Diplomacy Club, the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and IGUSAM at Istanbul Gelisim University organized an event titled "A Career Journey: A Conversation with Beylikdüzü District Governor Bülent Karacan" on February 28, 2025.
